Where the Damned Lie by Rajala Where the Damned Lie by Rajala
This couch is my thesis work that got a bit out of hand. I wanted it to be as vast as possible so especially most of April I was a minimum of 11 hours a day at school preparing the parts to be finally assembled.

Not a single part was cast. Every detail is forged from either steel sheets, pipes or constriction steel. The parts have been welded together. Thanks to using pipes the couch doesn't weigh more than 50 kg. On top of it the couch can be taken into three parts by the seams of the seats for easier transportation. I also made the upholstery myself.

Where the Damned Lie by ~Rajala is an amazing one of a kind couch with abundant details. The whole construction has been forged from steel, not cast, and can be taken apart into three parts for easier transportation. ( Suggested by hellmet and Featured by MyntKat )

Oh wow. Just... wow.

Curse you, you unbelievably talented person, you... If I could afford it, I'd ask you to design all my furniture for me.

I remember when I started watching you, you were making pendants and skeleton-hand bowls... I look forward to seeing where you'll go from here!

It's been a long process of getting the right touch with blacksmithing. I just hope I can keep evolving at the same pace. And I hope you get rich enough to afford a full furniture set. ;)

This would be insanely expensive. With taxes and everything the price would be at least 6000 euros or even more.

This is what I call craftsmanship. *___* Beautiful design and so well executed! Imagining the technical process alone is exciting. The masks and the skeleton themes are an interesting mix, especially with the masks on top and the bones further down. I'm very picky when it comes to interior design, but this got me right away!

Thank you so much. I have documented the technical process quite well because to thesis also had to have a written part. I might translate some of it to English some time. :)
