I made two chairs for myself as a experiment of how to balance the weight and durability of larger and more complex metal structures. Upholstery was also interesting to do.
I forged the legs from pipes and they were tricky to do. But thanks to that and using thin material for other parts the chairs weight only a bit over 6 kg each.
Your Artist's Comment doesn't really touch up on it but, how well do these hold up, being as light as they are? Were you able to sit in them and they wouldn't break?
I am interested to know.
P.S. These would make for some awesome dinner table chairs!
The chairs are really sturdy. I bet they'd easy hold up under even a heavily overweight person. Ihave these in my living room beside the table I made. After I get my couch here I'll have quite a gothy apartment.
